Xiaomi’s Mi 5 was an incredible successful smartphone rolled out by the Chinese company earlier this year and the consumer electronics firm is looking to follow it up with the successor to their flagship device line-up, the Xiaomi Mi 6. Pegged to be the most premium device which the company have manufactured as of yet and is a topic of much discussion as Xioami is looking forward to rolling the device in the earlier months of the year. With a number of significant advancements made in the field of technology over the years, the Chinese company is looking forward to incorporating all of it under one hood and still maintain an affordable price tag for the device. Design and Display
The Mi 6 from Xiaomi is expected to be the first device from the company to sport 100% screen-to-body ratio along with an ultra thin outlook of ceramic finishing. The company touts the upcoming device’s attractive aesthetic outlook seeming very sure that the smartphone will appeal to a large number of consumers in the market. The Mi 6 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 2k screen resolution protected with a 2.5D curved edge-to-edge glass panel. In terms of design. the Mi 6 is will not feature any bezels on the from panel of the device and house a fingerprint scanner on the rear camera panel of the device.
Hardware and Software
Qualcomm technologies introduced their latest chipset, the Snapdragon 835 processor which will reportedly be launched at January’s CES event and rumours have been strife that the Chinese tech company are striving to incorporate the chipset in their upcoming Mi 6. The first 10-nanometer chip by the company promises a performance speed boost of upto 20 percent compared to its immediate predecessor with also the addition of battery retaining capabilities of the device. The Mi 6 will feature a RAM specification of 6GB and will reportedly be rolled out in 128GB and 256 GB Variants.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to sport a dual-lens camera system with 16MP and 16MP wide angle lens at the rear panel of the device with laser auto-focus, dual LED flash, and a built-in Optical Image Stabilizer. Xiaomi boasts the upcoming smartphone’s optical abilities touting that the MI 6 will be one of the best devices in the market when it comes to low-light photography. On the front, the Mi 6 is slated to sport an 8MP Front snapper for video calling and selfie taking purposes.
Xiaomi has always been incredibly cautious with their smartphones being less power consuming and having high capacity batteries and the company strives to continue the pattern further. The Mi 6 by xiaomi is expected to house a 4,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quickcharge 4.0 support. The Mi 6 smartphone will also have the convenience of wireless fast charge support with Xiaomi claiming that the battery of the device will be able to charge from zero percent to 60 percent within 30 minutes.
Xiaomi has an event scheduled on February 6 and many tech enthusiasts are expecting the Chinese company to unveil their latest smartphone in the event next month itself. Although no confirmed information has been obtained so far, whether the Mi 6 will be showcased next month will soon be confirmed after Xiaomi starts sending out press invites for their annual event.
